The water line needed much assistance - not frozen but sucking in lots of silt to get trapped in the filter. At least twice daily the guys had to climb the hill to the barrel but there was only one day we missed our showers. We have no shortage of water or propane but it's sure nice to have enough pressure to run the hot on demand. There were no mouse droppings in the cabin - blessings - and thanx to all those wonderful wood choppers in the fall - the fire roared nicely and we had a wonderful week. I did lots of my normal 'creek maintenance' with hoe and rubber boots. I love squilching in the mud up the hill and the kids found beer creek still flowing to the mud flats and the waterfall had dug it's channel deeper than ever. Danielle fell in (so she said) and March 31 saw the first dip in the water. brrr. The Fish family were still in residence when we left for the coast and we will be back early next week for a few more days on the way home.
Our favourite place is still a winter wonderland... I've been waiting a long time to get back here...
later man, jan
